Why You Need More Structure in Your Life

Our structures are what keep us sane — our systems, our routines, our frameworks.

Yes, we need to break them now and again, stress-test them, step outside them, question, reevaluate.

But for the most part, we need to exist inside some set of systems. You can set these up for yourself, or, as most people do, let other people set them up for you.

Either way, you do need structure, because the only thing that exists inside total freedom is confusion. Even creativity improves under constraints. You need boundaries and rules and expectations in order to function, in order to be effective.

So set your structures, and set them well. (If you try to exist without them, someone else will set them for you soon enough.)
